THE SECRET TO BETTER GROWTH

Evenings, though short, seem to stretch endlessly as you juggle work, parental responsibilities, and your children’s surprises.

How do you assess the quality of these moments spent with them after school ?

Every interaction, gesture, and word imprints on their life experience, affecting not only their consciousness but also their reasoning, habits, and their entire being.

It is during this period of life that children’s unconscious personality patterns are built, and it would be unfortunate for these to be negatively influenced due to a lack of time or energy from parents.

The solution ? An organization that combines powerful techniques of awakening, visualization, and conditioning to create the ideal routine.

The various techniques we propose in this article will help you energize this daily family slot, making it fun and enjoyable.

Over time, your children will naturally master these valuable tools, making them autonomous, efficient, and organized.

CONSTRUCTIVE ORGANIZATION

LISTENING

The first and arguably the most important moment of this routine is, of course, listening.
This is the moment when you reconnect your child to their family reality, facilitating their transition from the bustle of school to the calm of home.
Take the time to talk with them when you meet them again.
Find the right approach to encourage them to tell you about their day. Once the debriefing is finished and the minor issues are addressed, it’s already time to get moving !

HYGIENE

Immediately after returning from school, and having a light snack, a shower will help them completely leave the school setting behind and anchor them in the atmosphere of home.

A clean house outfit if needed, or directly into pajamas if the child’s activities won’t dirty them.

IMPLEMENTATION :

VISUALIZATION | Make it a playful moment. Imagine that the water comes from an enchanted source, and this magical cascade has the power to wash not only dirt but also carry away the fatigue and strong emotions of the day.

NUTRITION

After refreshing themselves, it’s important for them to regain their energy.

While some children may prefer to play, it’s beneficial to have dinner early enough so they have sufficient energy to do their homework, and so that digestion is well underway by bedtime.

IMPLEMENTATION :

RELAXATION | Before the meal. Take a few minutes to have them breathe deeply and calmly. This will make the meal more enjoyable for them.

VISUALIZATION | Discuss how each food contributes to their energy and well-being. Emphasize the importance of a varied diet and how the biological energy they absorb contributes to giving them more strength to grow.

HOME STUDY

After a short post-meal break, if there are any, it’s time to do homework.

Otherwise, children are free to spend their time in creative and fun activities.

Why not calm video games that stimulate dexterity and intellect?

IMPLEMENTATION :

GUIDED ACTION SEQUENCE | Before starting, listening to a short audio session will help them refocus their energies and attention on the task at hand and prepare for learning.

MANAGING BREAKS | If the work session extends for any reason, segment it with short breaks. It’s likely that your child has reached their limit.

Use the Pomodoro technique to optimize this segmentation.

During breaks, to make them more effective, play a breathing game with them based on the 4-7-8 method.

Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and exhale for 8 seconds.

This will significantly improve the recovery of their cognitive abilities, while preventing them from getting distracted with other activities.

The subtlety is really in making them enjoy the breathing competition you’ll do with them.

In addition to teaching them to voluntarily control their breathing, you also help them return to Alpha waves.

 

RELAXATION

After homework is completed, it’s time to start bringing them back to a state of calm.

IMPLEMENTATION :

TRANSFORM TASKS INTO A CHALLENGE | Brush teeth while listening to soothing music or a guided relaxation session.
Play calming music or a guided relaxation session in the background.
There’s no need to focus on it actively; the beneficial effect will work on the subconscious.
Ensure you create an atmosphere conducive to tranquility.
Avoid watching the news and screens.
Consider a coloring session or reading a manga.

POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT

Bedtime has arrived. This is also a moment for your child to confide in you and talk about things they might not have had time to share earlier.

IMPLEMENTATION :

POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT | This is the ideal time to help them understand their emotions without judgment.

Remind them of moral values if necessary.

And explain why they feel certain emotions.

By helping them gradually understand that they can choose not to be overwhelmed by some emotions, as they can change their point of visualization of these emotions. Instead of experiencing them from within, they can observe them from an external viewpoint.

Helping them find an ideal viewpoint where they feel happy in uncomfortable situations is the most important part to accomplish.

Make it a habit to end your exchanges with a session of Positive Affirmations, projecting the desired outcomes for the next day.
